The Director:
Taghreed Saadeh
Taghreed Saadeh is a seasoned filmmaker and journalist with a rich background in both fields. Her expertise spans over 15 years in filmmaking, during which she has directed and produced a number of acclaimed documentary films that have been recognized and showcased on the international stage. She honed her skills at George Brown College in Toronto, where she studied filmmaking.
In addition to her work in film, Saadeh is deeply involved in the industry through various roles. She serves on the board of the Documentary Organization of Canada / DOC Alberta and is a member of the Alberta Media Production Industrial Association (AMPIA). Her commitment to promoting women in the industry is evident through her active participation in the Women in Film and Television organization.
Saadeh also brings over 15 years of journalistic experience, focusing on Arab affairs in MENA countries and art critique, showcasing her diverse expertise and commitment to both storytelling and journalism.
